Pansat 4500 is the newest Pansat receiver. The USB compatible and PVR functional like many other Pansat receivers. However, its lightening fast 216MHZ CPU that makes it stand out. You can't beat these new 200mhz+ chips. They make fast blind scans for wild feed hunting. This will make a great unit for FTA fans with motorized dishes.
The Pansat 4500 fully supports MPEG-2 & DVB broadcasting and ships with 32 MB SDRAM to facilitate faster 10-Day Electronic Program Guides,4MB of Flash Memory, Smart Search, and simultaneous satellite scanning. The Pansat 4500 also features component video output, S-VHS, and optical digital audio to enhance your flat-screen TV and surround sound enjoyment.
One of the Pansat 4500 has two USB 2.0 ports, which facilitates easy, speedy software upgrades, plus multimedia storage such as PVR playback when you add an external hard drive. There is one USB port in the front of the receiver and one in the rear.
Other key features of the Pansat 4500 include Picture-In-Graphic (PIG), 5,000-channel (TV and radio) memory capacity, and a channel-sorting feature that allows you to categorize channels alphabetically, by satellite, FTA/Scramble, or Parental Lock.
While this second-generation Pansat FTA receiver doesn't include the Dual Tuner Personal Video Recording (PVR) capability of the Pansat 600HXC PVR or the high definition resolution of Pansat 9200HD, the Pansat 4500's fast processor and versatile feature set makes it a reliable modern workhorse.
